Guatemala
Coffee production in Guatemala began to develop in early 1800, and is an important element of Guatemala's economy. The country benefits from some of the best growing conditions on the planet. Huehuetenango coffee is grown in the highland regions of northern Guatemala, producing perhaps the most distinguished Guatemalan coffee as it is often considered the best in the country overall. The altitudes are high, it almost constantly rains and the soil is mineral-rich. A Light Roast works well for revealing the fruity brightness of Guatemalan Huehuetenango, while a Dark Roast brings out the cocoa and bittersweet chocolate tastes.
